My first fancy fairy with beautiful wings was inspired one day while watching Ellen Degeneres. She’s from New Orleans and loves to dance; she reminded me of a fairy so hence the inspiration. Oddly enough this doll was started less then a month before Katrina hit New Orleans and was finished with love and a lot of prayers for all the folks whose lives were affected.
Her body is hand stuffed muslin of my own design.
Her face is a paua shell cabochon.
Her wings are wire and netting with amethyst cabochons and metallic embroidery floss.
Her body is covered with golden and dark purple seed beads, with teal seed beads used for the flowers on the sides of her dress.
She has metal floss hair and it is a little wild, but tamed with her purple beret style hat.
Her display stand is very simple, made of copper wire.
The doll is 6 1/2" inches tall with stand 7 1/2".
She is removable from the stand for cleaning.
